About Karookind Sarah Baartman Arts FestivalKarookind Arts & Culture Hub is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary creative centre located in the Sarah Baartman District, Eastern Cape. We honour the rich cultural and heritage legacy of the Eastern Cape—especially the Xhosa and Khoi-San traditions—by creating space for art, culture, sports, and creative expression to flourish.Through a mix of in-person and online programming, we provide platforms and opportunities for local artists, youth, and cultural practitioners to connect with broader audiences. Our offerings include:

Donation Request for AI and Coding Skills Development Programme
Dear Donator,

We are kindly requesting your support towards an important cause. Our initiative aims to raise funds to educate artists and youth in rural areas about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Algorithm Development.
The course will be facilitated by Professor Ajede, a PhD holder in Computer Science and lecturer at the University of Johannesburg. In the first phase, we plan to equip 12 students in Jansenville with valuable AI and coding skills over a 3-month programme.
The total course cost is R36,000, excluding additional transport and accommodation expenses for the facilitator.
Your generous donation will help us empower young people with future-ready skills and create new opportunities for growth in rural communities.
